Kaya at a soccer game in IrelandStudying abroad in Ireland was absolutely phenomenal.

The University College Dublin (UCD) had us get right into the swing of things where we learned about Irish Gaelic and the revival efforts of their language, as well as how to play the national sport! We also took a trip to Glendalough which featured many scene from Braveheart.

This study abroad allowed me to connect with the content that I'm learning in class and revealed in real-time how history affects the present -- this knowledge was incredibly valuable and demonstrates how efforts to decolonize can be successful! I'd like to thank the Women's Leadership Institute and the College of Social Science for their scholarships that made this happen!
