A simple conversation can inspire a student to think globally. This workshop helps academic advisors and staff confidently support students as they explore education abroad opportunities and consider how global learning can fit into their academic journey.

Whether you are new to the education abroad process or simply looking to expand your knowledge, this session will provide the tools and resources needed to confidently guide students as they explore global learning opportunities.

By increasing awareness and confidence among advisors and staff, we can work together to make global learning opportunities more accessible and encourage greater student participation in education abroad programs.

In the workshop we’ll cover:

• Research related to the benefits of education abroad
• The MSU program portfolio
• How we collaborate with MSU academic colleges
• The process for getting courses approved
• A review of the application process and student resources
• Time for Q&A
