Translating International Experiences into Global Mindset and Career Development is an interactive workshop designed to help students reflect on and articulate the value of their international experiences - whether through study abroad, internships, service learning, or other global engagements - in ways that enhance both personal growth and professional readiness. Participants will explore the concept of a global mindset, identify transferable skills gained from cross-cultural experiences, and learn practical strategies to showcase these competencies in resumes, interviews, and networking conversations.
Guest speaker: Dr. Rajiv Ranjan
Dr. Rajiv Ranjan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures at Michigan State University. He has taught in university, immersion, online, and study abroad settings in the U.S. and India. His research focuses on second language acquisition, language pedagogy, and second language writing and speaking. He is also an author and co-author of several open educational resource textbooks.
