Program selection

Students may seek your guidance in choosing a program. Since there are nearly 300 programs, we don't expect you to be familiar with all of them. However, to gain a basic understanding, we recommended that you use the following links:

Major Advising Pages

Major Advising Pages (MAPs) provide information on education abroad programs that are available for students, organized by major or college. Faculty, advisers, and students can use these MAPs as a starting point for selecting an education abroad program that best complements students' studies on campus.

Compare program types

Our experiences are categorized under a variety of program types including faculty-directed, partner, internships, independent study, non-MSU programs, and freshman seminars abroad.

Program search

Our program search allows you to search by subject offered, semester or term, country or region, program or experience type, faculty leader, and sponsoring college or department.  Academic courses available for programs are listed on open sessions of the program search under the academic tab.
